Obituary of Judith A. Worden
Please share a memory of Judith to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Judith A. Worden of Middletown, NY, entered into rest on August 27, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 54.
The daughter of Eugene Minkus & the late Dorothy Waskiewicz Minkus, she was born on June 2, 1963 in Goshen, NY.
Judy spent the last 27 years of her life working for the State of New York at Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center and Hudson Valley DDSO. She dedicated those years to helping others and was always willing to lend an open ear, a smiling face, or a homemade baked good. She recently retired this past March. She decided to spend her days traveling, visiting with friends and family, and taking care of her dog, Rocky, and cat, Angel. She gave her whole heart to any animal that crossed her path. She and Rocky have been joined together once again, in Heaven, as she selflessly put him down in July knowing he'd given her all the love he had.
Judy was a phenomenal baker. If she wasn't baking, she was out back in her yard gardening. Judy took so much pride in her home. She also never lacked words to express how proud she was of her two children. She made many sacrifices over the years to give her kids the best life possible. She succeeded at all of the things in her life that were most important to her. You could tell that by looking at every wall in her house that was covered with pictures of her kids, animals and grandkids.
She is survived by her father, Eugene Minkus of New Hampton, NY; son, Art Worden Jr. & wife Michelle of Middletown, NY; daughter, Amanda Worden of Brooklyn, NY; 3 grandchildren, Dallas, Madison & Colton Worden; sister, Sharon Beam & husband Jerry of New Hampton, NY; brother Donald Minkus & wife Sharon of New Hampton, NY; companion, Raymond Quintana of Middletown, NY; nieces Jennifer Gardner, Sara Tamburello, Lindsey Minkus; and nephews Justin Gardner and Phillip Minkus, as well as many aunts, uncles and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 30th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.
