Obituary of Frank Michael Bellotto

Frank Michael Bellotto of New Hampton, NY entered into eternal rest on Friday September 15, 2017. He was 94. The son of the late Francesco and Carmela (Talarico) Bellotto he was born May 12, 1923 in Middletown, NY. Frank was a graduate of Middletown H.S.. He was a US Coast Guard Veteran having served from 1942-1945. Frank was a retired Purchasing & Contracting officer for West Point Military Academy and a former minor league umpire. He loved all sports and had achieved three holes in one as a golfer; and was an avid animal lover. Frank was a member of the Middletown Elks as well as a member of the McQuoid's Middletown Fire Department, and a former member of Orange County Golf Club. He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate of 63 years Eleanor (Gross) Bellotto (they were married Dec. 27, 1953); his faithful dog Molly; brother Sam Bellotto; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers James, Daniel, and Joseph; sisters Lucy Orlando, Rose Belfiglio, and Mary Vescosi; as well as 7 furry friends. "He was a loving husband and a special friend. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him." Visitation will be held 10 am – 11am on Friday September 22, 2017 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 391 Mount Hope Rd., Middletown, NY 10940. Funeral service will be held 11am on Friday at the church. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Middletown, NY. Rev. Peter Rustico will officiate. In lieu of flowers (please no flowers), memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church Building Fund, 391 Mount Hope Rd., Middletown, NY 10940; or to a Humane Society of one's choice.
