Obituary of George Shuback
George Shuback of Scottsdale, AZ, formerly of Chester, NY, a retired drywall contractor, entered into rest on Sunday, November 20, 2022. He was 84.
The son of the late Joseph Shuback & Rose Rutkowski Shuback, he was born on February 22, 1938 in Goshen, NY.
He was a US Army Veteran; a dedicated lifelong member of St. Joseph Church, Florida, NY and a member of St. Joseph’s Holy Name Society.
He is survived by his wife Anne Straub Shuback; son, George Shuback Jr. & wife Anne; daughter, Kathryn Bufalo & husband James; daughter, Roseanne Anderson & husband Brian; grandchildren Jeremiah Shuback; Bradley & Mathew Bufalo; brother Marion “Mickey” Shuback & wife Helen; sister Elizabeth Mikulski & husband Frank; sister-in-law, Ruth Shuback; along with numerous, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was predeceased by his son, Raymond Shuback; 7 brothers, Albert, Leo, Joseph, Louis, Bernard “Bunny”, Edmund & Raymond Shuback; and 4 sisters, Violet Shuback, Anna Knapp, Caroline Fremgen & Theresa Bogdanski.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 27th from 1-4PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.
A funeral mass will be held 1:00PM Monday, November 28th at St. Joseph Church, Florida, NY.
Burial will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Florida, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church, 14 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
