Helen E. Lis of Goshen, NY, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 12, 2015. She was 99.
The daughter of the late Anthony Andryshak & Sophie Buchalski, she was born on August 5, 1916 in Jersey City, NJ.
She was a retired seamstress for PLS Clothing, a member of St. Joseph Church Florida, St. Joseph Living Rosary Society, Unite – I.L.W.V Retirees, Newburgh, NY, and the Polish Heritage Club.
Helen was predeceased by her husband Ignatius "Nick" Lis.
She is survived by her sister Clara Grzyb of Florida, NY; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by her brother Edward Andryshak and his wife Marion, and brother in law, Raymond Grzyb.
Helen's family would like to thank the staff at Elant in Goshen for the wonderful care they had given to her.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 14th from 4-8 pm at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921
A funeral mass will be held 10 AM Saturday, August 15th at St. Joseph Church, Florida, NY.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Florida, NY.
