Obituary of Nancy Slesinski

Nancy Slesinski of Stroudsburg, PA, entered into rest peacefully among family after a brief illness on Friday April 28, 2023.

Nancy was born in Goshen NY and grew up in Florida, NY. 

Nancy was an accomplished pianist and organ player, winning many awards for her talent.  She was a regular organist for her local church in Fla. Nancy attended SS Seward High School and was near top of her class in her studies.  She proceeded on to Cornell University before marrying the love of her life Eugene.  The majority of her career was spent at The Pocono Record as a bookkeeper.

The daughter of the late Curtis Schilling and Alice Stage Schilling, she was born on November 17, 1936, in Goshen, NY.

Survivors include her son Brian Slesinski; daughters, Diane Slesinski & Deborah Soltysiak and husband Douglas; grandson, Jay Slesinski; step grandchildren, Jamie & Jesse; 5 great grandchildren, Hanna, Alyssa, Aniston, Anthony and Tess Marie; along with several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Slesinski; daughter, Loretta Slesinski; granddaughter, Katherine Hales; and great-granddaughter, Emily Rose Van Benschoten.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 3^rd at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route#1, Pine Island, NY 10969 from 9-10:45AM.

Funeral Mass will be held 11 AM Wednesday, May 3^rd at St. Stanislaus Church, 17 Pulaski Highway, Pine

Island, NY 10969.

Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Pine Island.
