Obituary of Thaddeus John Stankiewicz Jr.

Thaddeus John Stankiewicz Jr. of Middletown, NY, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.  He was 82.

The son of the late Thaddeus John Stankiewicz Sr. and Maria Dwarski Stankiewicz, he was born on July 26, 1941 in Florida, NY.

He was a longtime member of St. Joseph Church and its Holy Name Society, Florida, NY.

He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Alford and husband Jeff; son, Paul Stankiewicz and wife Kathleen; daughter, Maryann Benedict and husband Joel; daughter, Helen Rahm; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Rosemarie Dembeck and Genevieve Lusignan and husband Arthur; along with numerous, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Carol Ann Welyczko Stankiewicz; son, Thaddeus John Stankiewicz III; granddaughter, Amber Helen Stankiewicz; son-in-law, Michael Rahm; sisters, Theresa Welyczko, Ann Palmer and Dora Zolonski.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 18^th from 4-7pm at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.

A funeral mass will be held 10:30AM Saturday, August 19^th at St. Joseph Church, 20 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.

Burial will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Florida, NY.
