Obituary of Ronald Rabil
Dear friends and family,
Today, we gather to honor and remember a remarkable man, Ronald Rabil, who was born on June 16, 1957, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Ronald was a man of deep compassion, unwavering love, and a guiding light to all who knew him. He was the cherished son of Andrea Thermezi and Jean Rabil, who have both since passed away, leaving Ronald to carry forward their legacy of kindness and strength.
Ronald was more than just a father; he was a pillar of wisdom, a friend whose love knew no bounds, and a mentor to the youth in his neighborhood back in Haiti. He understood the value of community and made it his mission to uplift those around him, offering advice and support to young people who looked up to him. His words were a source of comfort and inspiration, and his actions spoke even louder, showing what it meant to live a life of purpose and integrity.
In December 2011, Ronald made the courageous decision to move to the United States, joining us, his beloved children: me, Immeline Rabil, my brother, Richardson Rabil, and my sister, Vanessa Rabil. His presence in our lives was a blessing beyond measure. As a grandfather, Ronald's love extended to our children—Tyler, Nayanka, Richley, Tyreese, Tyrell, Trystan, Destiney, Riley, Theodore, Troy and Summer—each of whom he adored and cherished. His joy in being a grandfather was evident in every smile, every laugh, and every moment he spent with them.
Ronald’s journey on this earth came to a close on August 21, 2024, but his spirit remains with us, woven into the fabric of our lives. He taught us the importance of love, the power of kindness, and the strength found in family. While we mourn the loss of his physical presence, we find comfort in knowing that he lives on in our hearts, in our memories, and in the values, he instilled in us.
Ronald Rabil was a man who loved deeply and gave generously. As we say goodbye, let us remember the warmth of his smile, the gentleness of his voice, and the depth of his love. May we honor his memory by continuing to live with the same grace, compassion, and love that he showed us every day.
Rest in peace, dear Dad we love you. You will be forever missed and always remembered.
