Obituary of Patricia Ann Czubak
Patricia Ann Czubak, a lifetime resident of Florida, NY, peacefully entered into rest on September 21, 2024 at the age of 82. She was a retired homemaker and bookkeeper for the family businesses which she ran in partnership with her husband, Richard. Mom was an exceptionally kind and gentle soul, well loved by everyone who knew her.
The daughter of the late William and Lucy Augustyn Shanley, she was born September 16, 1942 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Warwick, NY. Mom was a devoted wife, mother and proud grandmother. Upon graduating in 1959 from S.S. Seward Institute, Mom worked for Mars & Mance Insurance alongside her Aunt Virginia Shanley until she and her husband became onion farmers in 1975. After farming, Rich and Patti opened Island Produce in Goshen followed by Czubak Farm repairs. Mom loved taking care of her family and had always had a special place in her heart for children. For a number of years, she was a Golden Hill Elementary School aid for both Special Education classes and the cafeteria. In addition to lovingly taking care of her own grand-children, she fondly took care of Alexa Tirelli and Christopher Beattie. In her later years, you could also find Mom as an Elections Inspector for the Village.
Mom loved the ocean, reading and relaxing in the sun and flowers. She especially enjoyed annual trips to Virginia Beach and Key Largo with her husband. She will be deeply missed and always remembered by all.
Survivors include her beloved family: daughter, Deborah Czubak; son, Richard E. Czubak; cherished grandsons, Zachary & Dylan Czubak; brother Ronald Shanley & wife Janine; sister-in-law Lorraine DeLade, cousin Joseph Mruczek and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her brother Robert Shanley and daughter-in-law Linda Kulak Czubak and beloved godmother Ciouci Mary.
