To Aunt Bet and rest of the Immediate Family, we are so sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Bob. He will be missed. When I was young I got to spend a lot of time with Uncle Bob, Aunt Bet, Donna and Doreen. We would spend many weekend nights hanging out playing pool while the grownups would hang out by Uncle Bobs bar drinking soda and water.. haha. I spent many of weekends sleeping over and hanging out with Uncle Bob and rest of the family. One of many memories was he would let me mow the lawn and I could barely reach the pedals. This one time he had me get on the mower and one of his little cedar trees was in front of it. He told me to go but I tried to tell him about the tree. He said go and he put the mower in gear, turned on the mower blades and released the clutch. Well needless to say that little tree never stood a chance. After it got chopped up by the mower, Uncle Bob’s eyes got big and the cuss words came out. I told him I tried to tell you and he just smiled and said keep going. He would never get upset at me. Another funny story was my buddy Barney and I were hunting down in the black dirt on Indiana Rd. Uncle Bob noticed my car and decided he would come flying down the dirt road yelling to put a scare in us for hunting on that land. Well he didn’t notice the mud hole in the dirt road. When his truck hit that mud hole, it stopped and he got stuck. We had to wait for a few hours until he had someone come and pull him out of that mud hole. We laughed about that for years. We kept telling him, aren’t you glad you tried to scare us off for hunting… A fun story was when Barb met Uncle Bob the first time. He teased her that he has many resumes from other girls if she didn’t pass his questions. Barb being Barb went right back at him telling him she had a stack of resumes too. Uncle Bob laughed at that one! Those two teased each other for quite a while on that. We had a great laugh over that. But that was Uncle Bob being Uncle Bob. If he liked you he would joke and kid with you without a care in the world. I could go on and on with many stories and fun times we had together. Uncle Bob was very special to me. The love I have for him was like he being a second father to me. If I ever needed anything all I had to do was ask. He even helped me move to my first apartment in Brooklyn bringing down things I needed. I had so many funny and great times with Uncle Bob as did many others who knew him. He may not be here in person but he will always live on in our memories. We will always cherish his humor and great times shared with him, always making us laugh with his joking demeanor. You will be missed but never forgotten. Rest in Peace. We Love you Always.. Donny, Barbara and Matt..
