Obituary of Alice W. Johnson

Alice W. "Mema" Johnson, a lifelong resident of Goshen, NY, a retired dairy farmer and homemaker, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at home. She was 89.
The daughter of the late Clem White & Anna Mae Williams White, she was born October 20, 1924 on the family farm.
A family statement reads, "She was very proud of her children and grandchildren. Mom was and always will be the glue of Fort Hill Farm for many generations. She was truly the Matriarch of our family. Her hobbies included gardening and milk memorabilia especially milk bottles and dairy history."
In her earlier years she was a leader in the 4H and volunteered at the old Goshen Hospital.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, William Johnson at home, Goshen, NY; son, Phillip Johnson & wife Claudia of Goshen; daughter, Linda Stankas & husband John of Allentown, PA; daughter, Pat Kelemen & husband Tom of Florida, NY; 6 grandchildren; Gregory W. Johnson & wife Annie; Betsy Colarusso & husband Chad; Phillip C. Johnson; Matthew, Billy & David Kelemen. 1 great grandson, Liam Alexander Johnson and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Louis & Charles White.
Funeral services are to be held privately.
