Obituary of Peter N. Goydich

Peter N. Goydich of Warwick, NY entered into rest on Tuesday November 29, 2016 at St. Anthony Community Hospital, Warwick. He was 79. The son of the late Nicholas and Eustina Rusin Goydich, he was born February 24, 1937 in Garfield, NJ. He was married to Dorothy Kostyk Goydich who predeceased him on October 19, 2011. They were married for 48 years. Peter was a retired electrician for the Warwick Valley Central School District. He was a member of Warwick Masonic Lodge #544, Shriners, Florida Senior Citizens, and a charter member of the NJ Powder Burners Gun Club, Passiac, NJ. He is survived by his daughter Tamara D. Washalski and husband Michael A. of Middletown; son Peter N. Goydich Jr. and girlfriend Cindy Jados of Westtown, NY; Grandchildren Marisa M. Goydich, Peter B. Goydich, Evan M. Washalski, Mikayla N. Washalski; Ashley &Alyssa Neilsen; Sisters Nancy Nanartowicz of Florham Park, NJ; Helen DeGraaff of Clifton, NJ; nieces Nancy Gross & husband Brian, Joan Nanartowicz, Christine Steele & husband William; nephews Nicholas DeGraaff & wife Tonka, Robert DeGraaff; and great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday December 2, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave. Florida, NY 10921. Masonic services will be held 7:30 pm at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held 10 am on Saturday December 3, 2016 at the Church of All Saints of Russia, 287 Jansen Rd. Pine Bush, NY. Father Nicholai Babijtchouk will officiate. Burial will take place at the Church of All Saints of Russia Cemetery, which is adjacent to the church.
