Obituary of Lewis J. Myruski

Lewis J. Myruski of Goshen, NY, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 06, 2016 at ORMC, Middletown, NY. He was 82. The son of the late Leon Myruski & Frances Brozycki Myruski, he was born September 22, 1934 in Goshen, NY. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Goshen. He was also a US Army Veteran. Lou loved farming. He owned and operated a produce farm in Durlandville, NY with his son and grandson. He loved traveling with his family and loved going to the casinos. He was an avid hunter and NY Jets and Mets fan. He was retired from Mid-Hudson Psychiatric Center where he worked as a security guard. He was a member of the Orange County Vegetable Growers and the Pine Island Seniors. Lou is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Victoria Bigert Myruski; 3 sons, Lewis Myruski & wife Paula of New Hampton and their children Samantha, Louie & Kelsey; Kenneth Myruski & wife Lori of Warwick and their children, Jared & Jayden; Donald Myruski & wife Ann Marie of Slate Hill and their children Troy & Haley; sister, Marion Myruski; sisters-in-law, Bernadette, Aileen & Rosalie Myruski; and many nieces and nephews and his special lifelong friend, Frank Kolman. He was predeceased by brothers, Joseph, Florian, John & Raymond and sister, Clementine. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 8th from 4-8PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. Funeral mass will be held 10:30AM Friday, December 9th at St. John's Church, 71 Murray Avenue, Goshen, NY 10924. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Florida, NY.
