William Cutler of Westtown, NY, a retired self-employed owner and operator of William Cutler & Son Heavy Equipment, entered into rest on Friday, December 23, 2016 at home. He was 77.
The son of the late James & Mabel Lutz Cutler, he was born June 28, 1939 in Albany, NY.
He served in the special forces of the US Army. He owned his own airplane where he would be seen flying from Randall Airport in Middletown.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Rosemarie Uhrig Cutler; 8 children, Paul Cutler, Verna Lynch (Mike Gorton); Sally Crawford, Ellie Fuchs (Jason Fuchs); Jayne Wilmarth (Larry Wilmarth); James Cutler; Catherine Doughty; Tara Cutler (Sean Bozzone); 27 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mary Bachman, Mabel Conklin & Jane Cutler; 2 brothers, Preston & David Cutler; further survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
Predeceased by 2 brothers, James & Robert Cutler.
Memorial visitation will be held 6-8pm Tuesday, December 27th at T.S. Purta Funeral, 690 County Route# 1, Pine Island, NY 10969.
Memorial service will be held 8PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
