Obituary of Carl J. Greener

Carl J. Greener Jr. of Florida, NY, a retired extrusion operator for the Former Chester Cable, entered into rest on Thursday, April 27, 2017. He was 75. The son of the late Carl Greener Sr. & Rose Sosler Greener, he was born June 6, 1941 in Florida, NY. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, watching baseball and football, classic movies and sitting in the backyard relaxing. He also enjoyed home cooked meals. He also served in the US Army during the Vietnam era. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Carol Ann Greener at home; daughter, Cheryl Ann Greener & Darryl Ingrassia of Florida, NY; sister, Rosemarie H. Greener of Florida, NY; 2 brothers, Robert C. Greener & wife Deborah of Goshen and Jerome T. Greener of Florida, NY; nieces, Leeza Jackler & husband Adam and their son, Zackary David Jackler; Brittney Greener & fiancé Ryan Jackler. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 30th from 2-5 pm at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. Funeral mass will be held 10AM Monday, May 1st at St. Joseph Church, 20 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Florida, NY.
