Obituary of Robert J. McCaffrey

Robert J. McCaffrey of Florida, NY a retired Class A Mechanic for Con Edison for 38 years, entered into rest on Monday, October 9, 2017. He was 70. The son of the late Michael J. McCaffrey & Mary Lillian Knoblock McCaffrey, he was born January 21, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY. Bob was an avid muscle car man who enjoyed working on cars. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife Ann Marie Reymaniak McCaffrey; son, Robert McCaffrey of Middletown; son, Matthew McCaffrey of Florida, NY; 3 grandchildren, Emma, Gavin & Sean McCaffrey; 1 step grandchild, Jacob Pennings; sister, Kathleen McCaffrey of Far Rockaway, NY; along with several nieces and nephew. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Francis, Richard & Michael McCaffrey. Visitation will be held Friday, October 13th from 2-4 & 7-9PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. Funeral mass will be held 9:30AM Saturday, October 14th at St. Joseph Church, 20 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.
