Obituary of Paul Kaleita

Paul Kaleita of Middletown, NY, a retired laborer for Local 17, entered into rest on October 14, 2010 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. He was 86. The son of the late Casimir Kaleita & Victoria Wojtowicz Kaleita, he was born on January 15, 1924 in McMechen, WV. Paul was a very special and caring husband, father and grandfather and had a great love for people. He was a World War II veteran. He was a great sportsman, he loved fishing and hunting. Also, he took great pride in his elaborate one of a kind bird houses. Paul enjoyed going to the senior meetings to play bingo. His great love was spending time with his precious grandchildren. Survivors include his beloved wife of 53 years, Cecelia Kozireski Kaleita at home, Middletown, NY, daughter, Paula Ray and husband Mark, son, Steve Kaleita and wife Samantha, son, Robert Kaleita. His very special grandchildren, Paul and his wife Danielle, Keith, Marissa, Alex, Gregory and Annika. Many nieces, nephews and friends. Also surviving are his brothers, Peter and Charles and sister, Dolores Quinn. Special thanks to Dr. Patel, Dr. Park and Dr. Kerstanja. Also Vassar Brothers Medical Center for the excellent care given to my husband Paul. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 17th from 2-4 & 7-9PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. Funeral Mass will be held on 10:00 AM, Monday, October 18th at St. Joseph Church, 20 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. The Reverend Joseph Tokarczyk will officiate. Burial will be in the Wallkill Cemetery, Phillipsburg, NY.
