Obituary of Roelofje Ruby Romanko

Roelofje Ruby Romanko of Pine Island, NY a Teacher and Administrator for the Goshen Christian Schools, Goshen, NY, entered into rest on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at home. She was 52. The daughter of Marcus & Anita Oosterkamp Doller, she was born on December 11, 1957 in Sussex, NJ. Ruby had a passion for singing where she was the director of Heaven’s Harmony and Sounds of Praise which are apart of the Goshen Christian Reformed Church. In addition to her parents, survivors include: Loving husband, Mark Romanko at home, Pine Island, NY; daughter Bethany Benenati & husband Max of Magnolia, NJ; son Andrew Romanko at home; daughter Christine LaFrance and husband Daniel of Daytona Beach, FL; son David Romanko at home. 5 brothers and sisters. Several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Goshen Christian Reformed Church, 2432 Route 17A, Goshen, NY 10924 on Tuesday, November 16th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 17th at the Goshen Reformed Church with the Reverend Stan Sturing officiating. Burial will be held privately. Memorial contributions may be made to the Reformed Churches Benevolents Fund, 2432 Route 17A, Goshen, NY 10924. This fund was setup to benefit the teachers who lost their job when the school closed.
