Obituary of Florence Bogdanski

Florence Bogdanski of Pine Island, NY, entered into rest on Thursday, November 18, 2010, at home. She was 85. The daughter of the late John & Frances Erfort Jankowski, she was born on May 8, 1925, in Goshen, NY. Florence was a member of St. Stanislaus Church, Pine Island, a past member of the Pulaski Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Mom will be remembered as a loving Mother and devoted Babci. She was a thoughtful and generous person who enjoyed working on her son’s onion farm and planting flowers in the greenhouses. Her greatest joy came from watching her grandchildren grow up, play sports, and spend time with her. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Clark & husband Francis of Howells, NY, son, Steven Bogdanski & wife Loretta of Westtown, NY, daughter Barbara Herod and husband David, of Springfield, Virginia, 5 grandchildren, Jeffrey Clark, Christopher Bogdanski, Matthew Bogdanski, Nathan & Audrey Herod; brother, Henry Jankowski & his wife Polly of New Hampton, NY, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and her dear friend Elizabeth “Betty” Rudinski. She was predeceased by her husband Peter Bogdanski & son Peter Jr., who she now joins in eternity; 3 brothers, Steve Szymanski, Alfred Jankowski & Edward Jankowski; 3 Sisters, Stella Helhoski, Helen Rzeczkowski & Sophie Zielenski. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Sunday, November 21st at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 Co. Rt.# 1, Pine Island, NY 10969. Funeral mass will be held 10:00 AM on Monday, November 22nd at St. Stanislaus Church, Pine Island. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Pine Island.
