Gladys Murphy of Pine Island, NY, entered into rest on Monday, December 27, 2010 at home. She was 84.
The daughter of the late Howard & Maude Crowe Corbitt, she was born on March 22, 1926 in Bronxville, NY.
Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, Edward Murphy at home, Daughter Lorraine “Lori” Murphy-Wydra and son-in-law David of Oak Ridge, NJ, Son Edward G. Murphy & Jan Johnson of Monroe, NY, Daughter Linda Maude Murphy of Pine Island. Granddaughter Jenna Murphy of Pine Island, & foster son, Randy Beach of Utica, NY. 2 Nephews, Jeff & Steve Dunn of Jacksonville, Fl. Sister and brother in law, Isabelle and Ray Keating and their beloved family.
Predeceased by 2 Sisters, Lucy Dawson & Maude Dunn.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 29th from 7-9 PM at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 Co. Rt.# 1, Pine Island, NY 10969.
Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at St. Stanislaus Church, Pine Island, NY.
Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Pine Island, NY.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Upstate Cerebral Palsy, c/o Randy Beach, 6340 Trenton Avenue, Utica, NY 13502.
