Obituary of Julius J. Tomaszewski

Julius Tomaszewski of New Hampton, NY, a retired produce farmer, entered into rest on Monday, December 27, 2010 at home with his loving family by his side. He was 82. The son of the late John & Matilda Antonowski Tomaszewski, he was born on April 12, 1928 in New Hampton, NY. He was an Honorary member of the Slate Hill Fire Company, a member of St. Stanislaus Church, Pine Island, Past member of the Benevolent Protection Order of the Elks# 1097, Middletown, & the Orange County Farm Bureau. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Tomaszewski at home, son, Thomas Tomaszewski & wife Cathy, daughter Mary Ann Tomaszewski of Otisville, daughter Barbara Ford & husband Robert of Westtown, son, John Tomaszewski, son, Frank Tomaszewski of Chester, daughter Cathy Conklin & Tom of New Hampton, daughter, Patricia & Scott Jansen of Florida, daughter Susan Harris & husband Dale of New Hampton. 16 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. And several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by three brothers, Casimir, Zigmund & Anthony Tomaszewski. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30th from 3:00-7:00PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route# 1, Pine Island, NY 10969. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 31st at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Pine Island. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
