Obituary of D. Kenneth Luft

D. Kenneth Luft, of Warwick, NY, a retired dairy farmer, entered into rest on Friday, November 18, 2011 at home, with his family by his side. He was 82. He was born the youngest of 14 on February 25, 1929 in Warwick, NY to the late Henry & Gustina Luft. Dads life was the farm, he certainly loved planting, growing his vegetables and taking care of his animals. He was very proud of his granddaughter Jennifer and Aaron, who are keeping the family farm alive. He was very proud of his granddaughter Malea for raising the love of his life, his three great grandchildren. He will always be remembered as someone who loved to teach children how to fish and to garden. Dad's sidekick, Jarvis Coates, was certainly there for dad. He was always willing to lend a hand for anything he needed. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Julia Lozaw Luft at home, Warwick, Daughter, Susan Flis and companion Lou Cappelli of Oriskany, NY, Daughter, Mary Luft and companion Wayne Bogart of Spearville, Kansas; 2 Granddaughters, Malea D'Amico and husband David of Clinton, NY and Jennifer Flis and companion Aaron Houck of Warwick. 3 Great grandchildren, Tyler, Logan Kenneth and Julia. He is also survived by his sister Clara Henry of Warwick and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 12 brothers and sisters. Memorial visitation will be held on Monday, November 28th from 6:00 – 7:30 PM at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route# 1, Pine Island, NY 10969. Memorial service will be held on 7:30 PM, Monday November 28th at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Warwick Community Ambulance Corps., P.O.
