Obituary of Carol Eve Morgiewicz

Carol Eve Morgiewicz of Warwick, NY a bus driver for First Student, Florida, NY and former produce farmer entered into rest on Saturday, August 4, 2012. She was 69. The daughter of the late John and Mary Trizna Mikulas, she was born on February 13, 1943 in Newark, NJ. "Mema will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She loved her family very much and never missed a Yankee game if she could help it. Her love of gardening and cooking was enjoyed by us all. We love you and will miss you Mema!" She was married to the late Raymond R. "Putter" Morgiewicz who predeceased her in 1993. Carol was a member of St. Stanislaus Church Pine Island, NY. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Jacqueline Metakes and husband Gregory of Middletown, NY; Carolyn Purta and husband Todd of Warwick, NY; Mary Wood and husband Tim of Brewton, AL; 5 grandchildren Cassandra Miller, Trevor and Evan Metakes, Tanner Wood and Tyler Purta. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews. Carol was also predeceased by her two brothers John and Richard Mikulas. Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 7th from 2-4 and 7-9pm at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 Co. Rt. 1, Pine Island, NY 10969. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Wednesday, August 8th at St. Stanislaus Church, 17 Pulaski Highway, Pine Island, NY. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery Pine Island, NY.
