Harvey H. Scheuermann of Warwick, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 17, 2012 in St. Anthony's Community Hospital, Warwick, NY. He was 81 years old.
The son of the late John & Katherine Luft Scheuermann, he was born on October 21, 1931 in Warwick, NY.
He was a lifetime resident of Pine Island, retired from the Lehigh and Hudson Railroad, an active member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Warwick, and an avid golfer at the Warwick Valley Country Club.
Survivors include his son, Richard Scheuermann & wife Nancy of Lewisville, TX and La Jolla, CA; two grandchildren; Alex & Derek Scheuermann; companion, Dotty Carmody of Warwick, NY; sister Norma Bryant.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 20th from 4-7PM at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route# 1, Pine Island, NY 10969.
Funeral services will be held 10:30AM on Wednesday, November 21st at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Little York Road, Warwick.
Burial will be in the Warwick Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 419 East Main St., Suite 307B, Middletown, NY 10940.
