John H. Rysdyke of Florida, NY, a retired truck driver for Local 445, entered into rest on Friday, November 23, 2012 in O.R.M.C. - Middletown. He was 75.
The son of the late Leo & Shirley Bopp Rysdyke, he was born on July 23, 1937 in Cornwall, NY.
He was a member of the Florida Fire Department and an avid fisherman.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Gloria Davis Rysdyke at home; daughter, Christine Burlum of Hewitt, NJ; son, Dr. Robert Danner & wife Ann of Bethesda, MD; daughter, Brenda Straub & husband Charlie of Chester, NY. 4 grandchildren, Samuel, Matthew, Rachel & Ruthann. 1 great grandson, M.J.; 2 Sisters, Eleanor Conklin & Nellie Mazur; 2 brothers Skip Rysdyke & wife Bet & Paul Rysdyke.
Predeceased by his 2 brothers, Donald & Moe.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 25th from 2-5PM at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.
