Obituary of Jeanette A. Glowaczewski

Jeanette A. Glowaczewski of Warwick, NY, entered into rest on February 15, 2013 at St. Anthony's Community Hospital after a long battle with heart disease. She was born on February 24, 1941 in Westtown, NY, the daughter of the late Arthur Phillips and Dorothy Card Phillips. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who always put her family first. Her world revolved around her grandchildren who she would do anything and everything for. She was a dedicated hairdresser for many years that cared deeply for all her clients. Jeanette was an avid S.S. Seward Spartan fan and also enjoyed watching the Yankees and Knicks. She was a member of St. Joseph's R.C. Church and the Seward Senior Citizens. Jeanette will be remembered for her compassion for others and her love of laughter. She enjoyed Senior Citizen trips, Bingo, her weekly card games with friends and baking for others. She is survived by her husband Norman of 52 years; her son, Jeffrey Glowaczewski and his wife Colleen of Florida, NY; her daughter, Jennifer Zinsley and her husband Sean of Worcester, NY; her grandchildren Scott and Sarah as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Shirley Felker, and a son, Lawrence Anthony. Special thanks to the nursing staff at St. Anthony's Hospital for their kindness and compassion. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 18th from 4-8 PM at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. A funeral mass will be held 10:00AM Tuesday, February 19th at St. Joseph Church, Florida, NY. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Florida, NY. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 20 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY.
