Alberta "Tootsie" Ryan of Hamden, NY, a retired telephone representative with NJ Bell, where she was a shop steward for CWA and a pharmacist assistant at O'Connor Hospital, Delhi, NY, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 in Schervier Pavilion, Warwick. She was 77.
She was born on August 22, 1935 in Hope Lawn, NJ. Her parents died when she was very young and was raised by her maternal aunt and uncle, Theresa & Rudolph Kratz.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Forman; son, Michael Ryan; daughter, Erin Ryan; Four grandchildren, Helene, Patrick & Brian Forman and Vincent Pacienza; Two son-in-laws, George Forman & William Pacienza; Brother, Donald Kratz; Sister Terry Kratz; Cousins, Loretta Newman & Sister Pat Mayer.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert Ryan; three brothers, Edward, Vincent & Kenneth; Sister, Louise Griffin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 21st from 1-4:30PM at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.
A funeral service will be held 4:30PM Thursday, February 21st at the funeral home.
