Psalm 16:7-8
7 I bless the LORD who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me.
8 I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, i shall not be shaken.
I'm very pleased to know that Bruce is now with our good LORD. I just can't imagine how quickly he left us. However I should not be surprise because Bruce is one person that I know can come in and quickly disappear in our lives. I'm Dr. Anne-Marie Moukala-Cadet, when I met Bruce, I could barely speak English, Bruce was introduced to us by my mother Lydienne, as her new Boyfriend, that was in 1992, and we have just arrived to the US 2 years earlier from Cameroon(Central Africa). Bruce had a very loving personality and he showered our mother with gifts. He lived with us for a few months only, as we started taking classes in our local Community College. I guess he was afraid to commit to my mother because she had to daughters who were very ambitious, we both wanted to be Doctors. One evening, my mother told us sadly that Bruce was leaving, He quickly pack his bags and we never saw him again until later. The next time I saw Bruce, I was now graduating from Medical school, We had since moved from the house in Kings highway in Brooklyn and were moving up in the world, both my sister and I had gotten married, Bruce missed all that, started having children, Bruce missed all that. We later heard that Bruce kept going back to the old house to look for us and no one could tell him were we moved to. Bruce spent over 10 years looking for us. In 2002 when I graduated from Medical school, I pleaded with my mother to take him back, after all his pleas. It looked like he was very remorseful for living us at the time that we needed him the most. We learn sadly of the Sudden and tragic passing of his only Daughter. Bruce was so impressed by our achievements that he told me how he regretted leaving us like that. I told him that my faith is in the LORD, and he decides who will come in my life and when, I forgave him. My mother took him back and she said since then, he never left, but they agreed to be together but reside in separate housing. Our mother Lydienne speaks highly of Bruce, she loved him with all her heart. It is a great loss for our family as well, because he was like a grandfather to our children. He was very kind and Funny, and was very protective of us. He really protected us like a father protects his young.
Please accept my deepest and sincere condoleances.
May your soul rest in Peace Bruce.
