Obituary of Jane Nasierowski

Jane Benisz Nasierowski, 89, of Florida, NY, entered into rest on February 10, 2014. The daughter of Stanley and Sophia Dyjak Pikul, she was born on June 20, 1924 in Poland. She was a member of St. Joseph R. C. Church, the Living Rosary Society and the Seward Seniors. She was a retired produce farmer and seamstress. Jane will always be remembered for her contagious zest for life. She enjoyed traveling and was always ready for an adventure. She had a quick smile, which she shared often and always had a reason to laugh and brighten our days. Jane was an excellent seamstress and her sewing talents will be missed by all of us. She loved to cook, was very generous and always shared her recipes. We will be forever grateful for her pierogi recipe and will remember her fondly every time we carry on her tradition and make them for the holidays. Jane was the widow of Edward F. Benisz and Stanley Nasierowski. She was predeceased by a son, Stanley Benisz. She is survived by her son, Edward Benisz of Bay City, MI; her sister, Victoria Weslowski of Florida, NY; her sister, Sister Bernice Pikul, C.S.S.F. of Providence RI; her brother, Stanley Pikul and his wife Mollie of Wilmington, NC; several cousins, nieces, nephews and two step-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 19th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM on Thursday, February 20th at St. Joseph Church, Florida, NY. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Florida, NY.
