Obituary of Virginia Van Sickle Kurdyla
Virginia Van Sickle Kurdyla of Pine Island, a lifelong area resident entered into rest on Monday July 16, 2018, she was 82.
The daughter of the late Clarence and Josephine Gailie Van Sickle she was born on April 6, 1936 in Pine Island, NY.
Virginia was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse at St. Anthony Community Hospital, Warwick. She was a member of St. Stanislaus R.C. Church, Pine Island Seniors; Life member of the Pine Island Ambulance; member and past President & Vice President of the Pulaski Fire Company Ladies Auxillary. She also delivered Meals-on-Wheels.
She is survived by her husband, John Walter Kurdyla of Pine Island; daughter- Kathleen Sidoti; sons- David Kurdyla & wife Kelly and Wayne Kurdyla & Debora Wellema; 9 grandchildren- Michael, Matthew, Jessica & Jennifer Sidoti, David & Joshua Kurdyla, April Bouton and Daniel & Brian Kurdyla; great grandson Ryan Sidoti; sister Lillian Lippert; 1brother Richard Van Sickle; several nieces, nephews, cousins & many cherished friends.
Predeceased by grandson Joseph Sidoti Jr., brother-John VanSickle , sisters Frances Buckle, Elizabeth Machnicki, Pauline Re, Joanie Gregory and step-granddaughter Erin.
Friends May Call on Friday July 20 from 2-4 & 6-9 PM at T.S. Purta F.H. 690 Co Rte.# 1, Pine Island, NY.
Funeral service will be held 10 am on Saturday July 21, 2018 at the funeral home.
Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Pine Island.
