Obituary of John Daniel Chardavoyne

John Daniel “Bud” Chardavoyne Jr. of Warwick, NY, entered into rest on Friday, November 16, 2018 at home.  He was 87.

 

The son of the late John D. Chardavoyne & Violet Jennings Chardavoyne, he was born on August 4, 1931 in Oak Ridge, NJ.

 

He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran who served during the Korean War and was awarded the Purple Heart.

 

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Kathrine Maros Chardavoyne at home; 3 children, John Chardavoyne of Warwick; Virginia Quackenbush & husband Jim of Warwick, NY; Mary Lain & husband Jim of Westtown, NY; 4 grandsons; Kyle Decker & wife Kristen; Brandon Gurda & wife Kelsey; Brett Gurda & wife Colleen; and Joshua Lain; 4 great grandchildren, Channing & Garrett Decker; and Brayden & Ethan Gurda; 4 sisters, Alice Norman, June Zeek, Wanda Harvey & Marilyn Gorczynski; brother, Henry Chardavoyne; along with several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Smokey.

He was predeceased by his son, Joseph Stephen Chardavoyne; sister, Carolyn Paffenroth.

 

As per his wishes, cremation will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
