John Charles Koar, Westtown, NY, entered into rest on April 12, 2015. He was 89.
The son of the late Charles Dewitt VanBuren Ford & Charlotte Koar, he was born September 23, 1925 in Passaic, NJ.
Dad was an avid fisherman and investor. He was a co-owner of Modern Drilling, Inc. of Unionville, former retail manager for Lane Bryant, and former night club & deli owner. May he rest in peace, he is finally reunited with his beloved wife. He will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his daughter, Charlaine K. Mondello & husband Antonino; son, John H. Koar; daughter, Tracy C. Koar-Horton; three grandchildren, Leslie E. Baggatta & husband Gerry, Kody R. Horton & Elaine R. Horton; And one niece and two nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Elaine Grey Koar; sister, Charlotte Koby; brother, Harry "Buddy" Dorsman.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
