Obituary of Doris Morgiewicz
Doris Morgiewicz age 90 of Pine Island, NY, passed away on July 18, 2021. She was born April 8, 1931 in Warwick, NY the daughter of the late John & Estella Garrison VanDuzer.
She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church in Pine Island.
She was exceptionally proud of her vegetable garden and the bountiful harvests it produced, sharing it with family and friends over the year. Doris was passionate about the wide variety of flowers she grew by engaging in many seed exchanges.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter Diane Scilippi and her husband Thomas of Mongaup Valley, NY; her son Gregory Morgiewicz of Pine Island; her daughter Lynn Rabena and her husband Sonny of Woodland, CA; her daughter Donna Bierstine – Albert and her husband Joseph of Middletown, NY; grandchildren Jessica Lucas and Nicole Bierstine; her great grandchildren Aiden, Wyatt, Ethan and Josephine; brother Donald VanDuzer; sister-in-law Theresa Wozny and many Nieces & Nephews.
Doris was predeceased by her beloved husband Constantine, 6 sisters Elsie, Marion, Wylda, Beatrice, Marjorie and Evelyn, 5 brothers John, Russell, Frank, Loyd, and Stanley.
Visitation will be held on Thursday July 22, 2021 from 3-6 pm at T.S. Purta Funeral Home 690 Co. Rt. 1 Pine Island, NY 10969.
A funeral mass will be held 10 am on Friday July 23 at St. Stanislaus Church 17 Pulaski Hwy, Pine Island, NY.
Burial will be held in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
