Obituary of Fredrick "Fred" Kobylaski

 Fredrick “Fred” Kobylaski of Warwick, NY, retired director of transportation of the Warwick Valley Central School District Bus Garage, entered into rest on Thursday, August 19, 2021.  He was 85.

 

The son of the late Michael Kobylaski & Julia Filipowski Kobylaski, he was born on October 20, 1935 in Pine Island, NY.

 

Fred was a member of the US Army 24^th Division during the Korean War.  He enjoyed working at the bus garage for 34 years.  He taught Class 1 Tractor Trailer driving course at BOCES for 22 years and the School Bus Safety Course for Warwick and BOCES for 20 years.  He enjoyed taking care of the Queen Village Queen Buses.  They were a wonderful group of girls to work for.  Fred also enjoyed his 10 years on WTBQ radio playing, “Come on Down Tonight Polka’s” with Mary Anne.  He was also a Lector at St. Joseph Church, Florida.

 

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Ann Pawliczak Kobylaski; daughter, Kathleen Buttitta of Saddle Brook, NJ; son, Thomas (Nancy) Kobylaski of Warwick; daughter, Bonnie (“Special son-in-law” Bruce) Slesinski of Goshen, NY; son, Mark (Jamie) Kobylaski of Florida, NY; grandchildren, Joseph, Thomas, Katie, Elizabeth, Megan, Kelli, Kaylee & Jessica; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Frances & Robert Brozowski; Joan & Frank Kukelka; Betty & Bob Regelski; Dolly & Steven Grzywaczewski; Eleanor Pawliczak; George & Ruth Pawliczak; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

 

He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Koby & wife Charlotte; sister, Lillian Rogowski & husband Walter; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rose & Kenneth Morgiewicz; Edmund & Mildred Pawliczak; Theresa & Joseph Leonardo; Vincent & Matilda Barczak; Val & Theresa Pawliczak; Floyd & Bernadette Myruski; Leonard & Vincent Pawliczak.

 

As per his wishes, funeral services will be held privately.
