Obituary of Christopher Wayne Dietz
Christopher Wayne Dietz of Cornwall, NY, formerly of Florida, NY, owner of Dietz Plumbing, Heating & Home Improvements, passed away after a tough battle with COVID-19 on Sunday, December 5, 2021. He was 39.
The son of Wayne Dietz & Elizabeth McLaughlin Dietz, he was born on October 23, 1982 in Warwick, NY.
He was a former active member of the Florida Fire Department & Rescue Squad and a Past Chief of the Cornwall Ambulance Corps. Chris loved not only his family & friends but truly loved his passion for his work. He took pride in every challenge of his trade and when the opportunity came, he quickly acted without hesitation to help out a family in need by volunteering his skills on the TV show, Extreme Home Makeover.
He is survived by his parents; Wayne & Liz Dietz; brother; Matthew Dietz; sister & brother-in-law; Jennifer Middaugh & husband Kyle; his niece, Gabriella; Uncle & Aunt; Gary & Marjory Dietz; along with countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 10th from 3-7pm at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.
Funeral services will be held 10AM Saturday, December 11th at St. Joseph Church, 20 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. To view the church service CLICK HERE
Burial will be held in Warwick Cemetery, Warwick, NY.
Due to current COVID 19 pandemic, the family has requested that all those in attendance at the funeral home and church to please wear a mask while indoors.
