Obituary of Darren M. Doty

Darren M. Doty of Eldred, NY, formerly of Florida, NY, a self-employed owner of Bathrooms R’Us and an avid hunter & sportsman, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at home.  He was 2 days shy of his 55^th birthday.

He was the beloved son of Doreen Doty nee Kania and the late Woodrow Doty Jr.  He was born on December 10, 1966 in Goshen, NY.

He is survived by his mother, Doreen; daughter, Trista; son, Matthew; brothers; Daniel Doty & Dean Doty (Sandra); sister, Darla Hamling (Peter); aunts & uncles, Edward & Barbara Kania; Robert Doty; Sherald & William Brown and great aunt, Norma Bryant; nieces and nephews; Skyler, Hunter, Savannah, Sarina, Raquel & Barbara as well as several cousins.  

He was predeceased by his father, Woodrow Doty Jr.; brother Woodrow Doty III and his beloved loyal companion & best friend, his dog, Bear Bear.

Memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 15^th from 3-6pm at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.

Due to COVID 19, the funeral home is currently following the CDC guidelines regarding the use of masks.
