Obituary of Richard Edward Slesinski
Richard Edward Slesinski of Goshen, New York, born on October 12, 1942 to the late Janet Lempka Slesinski and Edward Slesinski, entered into rest on Monday, July 25, 2022. He was 79 years old.
In addition to his parents, Rich was predeceased by his brother, Leon Slesinski.
Rich is survived by his cherished wife Betty; his devoted children—daughter Susan and Philip DePalma, son Rich Jr. and Stacey Slesinski, daughter Karen and Michael McDonnell, and daughter Marie and Michael Panzer; his adored grandchildren—Katie and Alex DePalma, Max and Madison Slesinski, Amelie and Ronan McDonnell, and Zoë and Ayla Panzer; his loving nephew and nieces—Leon Merian, Charleen Slesinski, Stacey Warth, and Lynette Lutz; and his caring sisters-in-law—Dolores Weslowski, Lex Zawaski, and Carole Zartman.
Anybody who knew him knew he loved his wife and high school sweetheart, Betty, whom he married 60 years ago on June 23, 1962. He was also passionate about working on his family farm, first with his uncle Daniel Slesinski, and then with his first cousin and partner, Dan Slesinski, his two sons, Keith and Craig, and his wife Darlene. He also loved his kids, and especially his grandkids. He will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 28th from 4-8PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.
